Seth LeJacq – the vernacular forensics of sodomy
12th June 2018 @ 16:30 - 18:30
Please join us on 12 June from 4:30 pm in Amory B315 for what promises to be an exciting seminar.
With generous support from the Centre for Medical History and the Centre for Maritime Historical Studies, James Davey and I would like to invite you to the joint CHM-CMHS seminar next week. We are lucky to have Seth LeJacq from Duke University present his latest work titled “The vernacular forensics of sodomy in early modern Anglo-America: the Royal Navy as a case study”. Seth’s work lies at the intersection of the history of sexuality, history of medicine and maritime history, while Americanists and Early Modernists will also find his work engaging.
